The views from this house are amazing. Being Nelson’s ‘first mansion’ it was built at the top of the hill to take advantage of the views over Waimea estuary and Rabbit Island, and of course the all-day sun!
This grand old house received a full makeover – with stunning plans developed by Jerram Tocker Barron architects. Marble cladding, original metal windows and all the original features were kept whilst bringing the house up to modern standards.
The interior is about 500sqm – it was re-fitted with modern features, and a new open plan living area and expansive deck was added.
